Georgina Baker

Director

Georgina Baker worked at The International Finance Corporation (IFC), the private sector arm of the World Bank for 30 years.  She was the Vice President for Latin America & Caribbean, Europe & Central Asia, responsible for investment and advisory work across the region. Previously she managed the syndicated loan program, including the award winning Managed Co-lending Portfolio Program (MCPP) which brought in institutional investors to lend alongside IFC in emerging market infrastructure projects.

She is best known for her 10 year leadership of the trade finance program which assisted emerging market issuing banks through letter of credit confirmation.  The program has a network of 120 banks in 70 countries and through a family of trade related products has supported over $140 billion in trade.

Currently Georgina is a senior advisor with BCG, advising on projects in the Social Impact area. She also serves on the board of PAC Doverie, a private pension fund in Bulgaria.

She has an MBA from the London Business School and a mechanical engineering degree from Kingston University, UK. She is passionate about theatre, travelling and attempting Ottolenghi recipes.
